Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is jetting off to Atlanta, United States, with his newly wedded wife, Chioma, on their newly purchased $150m Bombardier Global 7500 jet.
The singer took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday to share pictures of his new metallic bird, raising fans’ speculations that there could be a second part of #Chivido2024 in Atlanta.
Davido wrote, “Make we first launch this one.”
The couple threw down a traditional wedding ceremony that saw the two become husband and wife as they stepped out in several African attires as they brought together their two cultures, Igbo and Yoruba.
Videos and photos making the rounds online have shown Davido and Chioma boarding the jet with his logistics aide, Isreal DMW, and other crew members speculated to be accompanying the couple for their honeymoon in the United States.
Over the last few days, the Nigerian social media space has been dominated by reports about Davido and Chioma’s wedding Netizens have tagged Chivido 2024 as the wedding of the year, and live clips from the event have rented the social media space .
The elated musician was heard in a video clip online saying he felt good about the decision to tie the knot with his lover.
“I feel good. It’s the best day of my life. It’s a great day. We are here to receive our wife,” Davido said in the video clip.
The wedding, which was staged in Lagos State, attracted dignitaries, including governors, high-profile traditional rulers, and celebrities, among others, who graced the occasion that became the most trending event in the country on Tuesday.
The latest report emerging that has stolen the headlines is the moment a car was driven into the venue, which was reported to be a wedding gift to the new couple from GAC Motors.
